Our History
Originally, the organization was named the Haitian American Youth Foundation, created in July 2002 as a church-based community youth organization. In October 2003, it was renamed the Haitian American Youth Task Force to coordinate all Haitian Catholic youth groups in the Archdiocese of Miami. From 2005 to 2013, the organization partnered with Miami Dade College North Campus, Miami-Dade Public Schools, and elected officials to promote school retention and academic achievement in the Haitian community through its annual award graduation ceremonies, recognizing students from middle and high schools graduating with a 3.0 GPA and above. From 2013 to 2024, the organization remained non-operational. The new name is now Haitian American Task Force or Give Back Haiti.

Mission
Give Back Haiti is not a for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to organize fundraising campaigns to help decentralize university education in Haiti, and advocate for improved military services in Haiti.
